Updates and versions
Curator has a built-in updater. You do not need to download a new file or reinstall.
How updates arrive
Section titled “How updates arrive”When a new version is available, an in-app prompt appears and offers to update. Curator is notarized by Apple, so updates install cleanly with no Gatekeeper warning.
There is one release channel. Everyone gets the same stable builds, there is no separate beta or early-access track. With automatic checks on, Curator looks for a new version when you launch it and then about every six hours while it keeps running.
Controlling updates
Section titled “Controlling updates”The controls live in Settings under General.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Check automatically for updates | Looks for new versions on launch and in the background. On by default. |
| Check for updates now | Checks immediately and shows your current version. |
Current version
Section titled “Current version”The current version is 0.0.2. Check for updates now in Settings always shows the version you are on.
See Release notes for what changed in each version.
