Trash, Starred, and Recent
Three sidebar views give you fast access to files you care about or recently touched.
Trash is an in-app soft delete. When you move a file to Trash it leaves your normal views but is not gone. Trash works for both local folders and cloud storage. You have three actions:
- Restore puts a file back where it was.
- Delete forever removes a single file from Trash for good.
- Empty Trash clears everything in Trash at once.
[!CAUTION] Delete forever and Empty Trash delete the actual file from your folder or cloud bucket, not just Curator’s record of it. There is no undo. Use Restore if you are unsure.
This is true for both local folders and cloud storage. Move to Trash only relocates the file into a hidden trash area and keeps every copy, so a restore always brings it back untouched. Delete forever and Empty Trash are the only actions that remove the real file.
Trash also empties itself. A file left in Trash for 30 days is deleted for good automatically, the same way Delete forever would remove it.
Starred
Section titled “Starred”Starred lists every file you have starred. Star a file and it shows up here, ready to open without a search.
Recent
Section titled “Recent”Recent shows files that were recently added or touched.
