Trash, Starred, and Recent

Three sidebar views give you fast access to files you care about or recently touched.

Trash is an in-app soft delete. When you move a file to Trash it leaves your normal views but is not gone. Trash works for both local folders and cloud storage. You have three actions:

  • Restore puts a file back where it was.
  • Delete forever removes a single file from Trash for good.
  • Empty Trash clears everything in Trash at once.

[!CAUTION] Delete forever and Empty Trash delete the actual file from your folder or bucket, not just Curator’s record of it. There is no undo. Use Restore if you are unsure.

[!NOTE] PLACEHOLDER: confirm that Delete forever and Empty Trash delete the actual file from the storage source (local folder and S3), versus only removing Curator’s record of it.

Starred lists every file you have starred. Star a file and it shows up here, ready to open without a search.

Recent shows files that were recently added or touched.
